Application Checklist

• The AUSM Application Form Download
• Pay the nonrefundable application fee of 100 .00 $. We appreciate your understanding that this fee is nonrefundable.
• Write a personal statement that explains your motivation for pursuing a career in medicine. This statement should highlight how you can contribute to the AUSM community. Please make sure to type your statement with 1.5 line spacing and ensure that it is no less than one page and no more than two pages in length. Don't forget to include your full name.
• Submit your résumé or Curriculum Vitae. This document should provide a comprehensive overview of your academic and professional experiences.
• Arrange for all official transcripts from your undergraduate, graduate, medical, and/or professional schools to be sent directly to AUSM. It is important that these transcripts are received before the registration process.
• Request two letters of recommendation. At least one of these letters should be from an academic source, preferably a science professor who is familiar with your academic abilities. The second letter, known as the "Professional Letter,"" can be from a non- science professor, employer, medical colleague, or any other professional who can speak to your character, academic prowess, or work abilities.
  Please note that some applicants may be selected for an interview prior to the review of their application by the Admissions Committee. These interviews may be conducted in the United States or via webcam and Skype-enabled devices. The review of applications will take place no more than one year before the anticipated start date.

In addition to the above requirements, please be aware of the following :

• MCAT scores are not mandatory for consideration.
• All students must undergo a criminal background check (CBC) before starting at AUSM.

International applicants who have completed their required academic courses at an English-speaking institution will be exempt from this requirement.
